Driver of overloaded bus arrested in Ramban

Ramban, Dec 2: Police arrested a driver of an overloaded bus for endangering the lives of passengers in in Ramban on the Sinagar-Jammu national highway. His vehicle was also seized.

A traffic police officer said that during joint Naka checking at Trishul Morh Ramban traffic police Ramban intercepted a bus bearing number JK02CT-6983. During checking of documents it was found that the 35 seater bus was carrying 47 passengers.

They said the seating capacity of the vehicle was modified in contravention of the registration certificate and was carrying 47 passengers.
