Driver among three dead, five injured in Rajouri road accident
Srinagar, July 21: Three persons, including the driver, were killed and five injured after a vehicle met with an accident in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said.
An official told Greater Kashmir that a vehicle with eight occupants met with an accident near Challan Thandikassi this morning, leaving two people dead and six injured.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera, Dr Iqbal said two people were declared dead on arrival at Sub-district hospital Nowshera while six injured persons were referred to GMC Rajouri.
He identified the deceased as Mohd Din, son of Fakeer Mohd, aged 65 years and Arun Kumar, son of Hemraj, ageed 32, a resident of Lam. Kumar was the driver of the vehicle.
The injured were identified as Mohd Aslam (40), his wife Shahida (40), his two sons Atif Aslam (10) and Raza (5), and his daughter Asiya Sadeeqa, and Zareena (36), wife of Mohd Akram.
However, one among the injured, identified as Mohd Aslam, succumbed at GMC Rajouri, taking the death toll to three.
