Drive against drug traffickers continues in Ramban

Ramban, Sep 30: In a special drive against drug traffickers , Ramban police arrested one more drug peddler at Sangaldan area of Gool on Monday.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh to prevent drug peddling, police nabbed another drug peddler from Sangaldan area of Gool. During the last three days three drug traffickers were arrested in the district. All the three peddlers were arrested with contraband (heroin).

Police said during a Naka checking the police party of Police Post Sangaldhan arrested a person and seven grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Muhammad Sheeraz son of Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie resident of Gambhiri Panchayat Thatarka Tehsil Gool and District Ramban.

A case FIR No 79 of 2024 under section 8,/21, NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Gool and investigation was initiated. Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban Kulbir Singh warned stringent action against drug traffickers. He said drive against drug peddlers would continue across the district.
