“We have been grappling with water shortage. The old water pipes in our area are worn out, which is also adding to the problem. In some areas, there is water with low pressure available for a few hours, which does not reach the tail-end areas. In other areas, there is a complete shortage of water. We reached out to officials several times, but the issue has yet to be addressed,” said Riyaz Ahmad, a local from Gojwara.

We don’t have enough water to cook, clean, and do other chores. We appeal to authorities to look into the issue and address it accordingly,” said a female protestor.
