New Delhi, Dec 2: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Tuesday successfully conducted a high-speed rocket-sled test of an indigenous fighter aircraft escape system at the Rail Track Rocket Sled facility in Chandigarh.
The trial validated canopy severance, ejection sequencing and full aircrew recovery, placing India among a select group of nations with advanced in-house dynamic ejection testing capability.

The test, carried out with ADA and HAL, used a dual-sled system and an instrumented dummy to simulate real pilot conditions. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the achievement as a major milestone for self-reliance, while DRDO chief Samir V Kamat congratulated the team.
