Dr Sajad Shafi files nomination papers from Uri

Baramulla, Sep 11: The National Conference (NC) candidate for the Uri Assembly constituency, Dr Sajad, filed his nomination papers on Wednesday.

Accompanied by his father and senior NC leader, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Dr Sajad addressed the media, pledging his commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Uri.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sajad, said that he is committed to addressing local issues, including upgrading the area’s infrastructure in education and healthcare, while also focusing on boosting the local economy.

Acknowledging the concerns of the poor, he vowed to tackle the rising electricity fees, which have been a major burden on the people of border area like Uri. While addressing the media, Dr Sajad, took a strong stand against independent candidate Taj Mohiuddin, who, according to him, is backed by the BJP.
