Dr Rukhsana Jabeen appointed as Principal GMC Anantnag

Srinagar, Apr 30:   The Health and Medical Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Tuesday ordered the appointment of Dr Rukhsana Jabeen as Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag and Dr Khurshid Wani as Principal GMC Handwara.

“Consequent upon the superannuation of Prof Anjum Farhana, Incharge Principal, GMC, Anantnag on April 30, 2024, and due to the Model Code of Conduct being in place because of General Elections to Lok Sabha-2024 and to ensure patient care in GMC Anantnag and GMC Handwara, it is hereby ordered that Dr Rukhsana Najeeb, Professor, Department of Anesthesiology, GMC Srinagar will look after the post of Principal GMC Anantnag till further orders,” reads the order.

“Dr Khurshid Ahmad Wani, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, GMC Srinagar will look after the post of Principal GMC Handwara till further orders, relieving Dr Iffat Hassan, Incharge Principal, GMC Srinagar from the charge of the post of Principal, GMC Handwara with immediate effect," the order read.
