Jammu, June 11: Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee of the J&K Dharmarth Trust Tuesday made a significant visit to the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tulla-Mulla in Ganderbal districts of Kashmir, ahead of the upcoming annual Mela on June 14.

During his visit, he paid obeisance to the deity and offered prayers for the peace and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The chairman trustee was received by Brig R S Langeh, president of J&K Dharmarth Trust along with other staff members during his visit to Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine. Trust’s President briefed Dr Karan Singh about the development works carried out in the shrine complex.

The chairman Trustee took stock of development works facilitated by the Dharmarth Trust, along with those supported by special grants from the Government of India. He expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of the development efforts, highlighting the positive impact these improvements have had on the shrine.

Dr Singh reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming annual Mela, personally inspecting the preparations made by the J&K Dharmarth Trust and the administration for the pilgrims. He instructed the Trust staff to ensure that devotees did not face any inconvenience and get all necessary facilities during the Mela. He expressed his satisfaction with the well-maintained state of the Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine complex, which was fully prepared to welcome devotees from across the country, said a press statement.

Dr Karan Singh said that the J&K Dharmarth Trust was committed to preserving and enhancing our sacred heritage sites. "We are dedicated to ensure that these places of worship continue to inspire and serve the spiritual needs of the people,” he added.
