Dr Farooq visits Eidgah, offers support to fire victims

Srinagar, July 5: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Friday visited Firdous Colony Eidgah, where a devastating fire had ravaged numerous houses and a masjid.

Dr Farooq interacted with families affected by the devastating fires, who shared with him the harrowing details of their ordeal.

Promising the fire victims unwavering support from the National Conference, Dr Farooq implored the District Administration to swiftly deliver financial aid and assistance to those in need. He was accompanied by his Political Advisor Mushtaq Guroo as they witnessed the devastation firsthand.

“It is pertinent to mention that In Charge Constituency Eidgah and former Speaker Mubarak Gul had already visited the site of the tragic fire yesterday and assessed the situation,” NC said in a statement.

“Later Dr Farooq offered Friday congregational prayers at the Asar-e-Sharif Dargah, Hazratbal, where he beseeched the Almighty for the well-being and protection of the oppressed people of Palestine,” it added.
