Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah pay tributes to noted scholar

Srinagar, Apr 29: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday paid rich tributes to noted scholar Hazrat Moulana Syed Qasim Shah Bukhari (RA) on his 26th death anniversary to be observed on 1st day of the Islamic month Zul Qa’dah.

In a statement, Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “Bukhari Sahib had a long-standing association with the party founder Sher- e- Kashmir, who had a high opinion of his scholarly acumen and spiritual standing as well.”

Vice President and Chief Minister  Omar Abdullah also paid rich tributes to Hazrat Qasim Shah (RA) while recalling his immense contribution towards Islamic learning and theology.

Meanwhile, Jamait-e-Hamdani patron Mirwaiz Moulana Riyaz Hamdani and chief spokesperson GM Saqi paid tributes to noted scholar Hazrat Moulana Syed Qasim Shah Bukhari (RA) on his 26th death anniversary to be observed on 1st day of the Islamic month Zul Qa’dah.
