Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah offer tributes to Mirwaiz Mir Mujahid Ahmadullah Hamadani (RA)

Srinagar,  May 7: National Conference  (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday paid tributes to prominent Islamic scholar Mirwaiz Mir Mujahid Moulana Ahmadullah Hamadani (RA) on his 87th death anniversary.

In a statement, Dr Farooq acknowledging his relentless fight against autocratic rule from 1916 to 1939. He emphasised the importance of studying the lives and works of such great men, as they have significantly contributed to the betterment of society. He urged the younger generation to embrace the teachings of these remarkable individuals.

CM Omar also honoured Hamdani, recognising his unwavering struggle and the challenges he faced in fighting for the restoration of people's rights.

Meanwhile, Jamait-e- Hamdani chief spokesperson G M Saqi paid rich tributes to prominent Islamic scholar Mirwaiz Mir Mujahid Moulana Ahmadullah Hamadani (RA) on his 87th death anniversary. Saqi along with functionaries of Jamait Hamdani offered fateha at his grave at Khanqah-Moulla.
