Dr Farooq offers Friday prayers at Hazratbal shrine
Srinagar, Nov 8: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah today offered Friday prayers at the Hazratbal shrine.
According to a press release, he prayed for lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the welfare and prosperity of Muslims worldwide, with a special focus on the people of J&K. Dr Abdullah also prayed for the success and well-being of the innocent people of Palestine.
Later, several delegations met Dr Farooq Abdullah at his Gupkar residence to discuss various issues.
Meanwhile, the National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, have paid rich tributes to the legendary poet and philosopher, Dr Sir Mohammad Iqbal, on his 142nd birth anniversary.
In his message, Dr Farooq Abdullah highlighted Allama Iqbal's profound love and affection for the people of Kashmir, emphasising that his poetry continues to inspire generations worldwide.
Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also lauded Allama Iqbal's contributions, recalling that the late Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah also had great love and affection for Allama Iqbal.
Meanwhile, Moulana Riyaz Hamdani Chief Patron Jamait Hamdani and Chief Spokesperson G M Saqi also paid tributes to Dr Sir Muhammad Iqbal saying his work are relevant even today and will continue to inspire generations.
