Dr Farooq greets people on Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RA)

Srinagar, Oct 18: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, President Dr Farooq Abdullah has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of the Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya (RA), one of the greatest Sufi saints of the Indian subcontinent. In his message, Dr. Farooq said the life and teachings of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RA) are a timeless beacon of love, compassion, unity, and spiritual enlightenment.  He emphasized that the saint’s message of selfless service, communal harmony, and devotion to God continues to resonate across generations.

“Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RA) dedicated his entire life to serving humanity, regardless of caste, creed, or religion. His legacy is a guiding light in today’s world, where there is a growing need to foster peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect,” Dr. Farooq said. He expressed hope that the Urs would inspire people to follow the path of compassion, humility, and inclusive spirituality as shown by the revered saint.

Dr. Farooq also prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire nation.
