Dr Farooq felicitates NC’s newly elected Rajya Sabha members

Srinagar, Oct 25: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah Saturday felicitated the party’s successful Rajya Sabha candidates Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and Shammi Oberoi at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

In his address, Dr Farooq congratulated the newly elected members and urged them to work with dedication and sincerity to highlight the issues concerning the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the need to strengthen the party’s ongoing efforts for the restoration of the abridged rights of the people and to uphold the region’s political, economic, and constitutional interests, said a party statement.

“Our representatives in the Rajya Sabha must serve as the voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that their aspirations and concerns are heard and addressed at the national level,” Dr Abdullah said.

On the occasion, the newly elected members Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and Shammi Oberoi expressed gratitude to the party leadership for reposing faith in them. They pledged to represent the aspirations of the people and to further the party’s mission of justice, development, and dignity, it said.
