Dr Farooq extends greetings on Urs of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA)

Srinagar, Oct 19: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has extended warm greetings to the people on the annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Aalam (RA), revered patron saint of Kashmir. Dr. Farooq Abdullah paid rich tributes, highlighting the saint’s lifelong mission of peace, reform, and universal brotherhood that continues to shape Kashmir's cultural and spiritual ethos. “His teachings have moulded generations and strengthened our identity rooted in compassion and religious tolerance,” he said.

Party leaders including General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Nasir Aslam Wani, Tanvir Sadiq, Abdul Rahim Rather, and others also extended greetings. Meanwhile, NC leaders Imran Nabi Dar and Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi urged the administration to ensure adequate arrangements at Asatan Aaliya Qaimoh (Kulgam) for the Urs observance.

Meanwhile, Jamait Hamdani president Maulana Riyaz Hamdani has felicitated people on the Urs of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Aalam (RA).
