Dr Farooq extends greetings on Urs of Hazrat Qamar Ud Din Bukhari (RA), Hazrat Baba Haider Tulmulli (RA)

Srinagar, Aug 4: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Qamar Ud Din Sahib Bukhari (RA) and Hazrat Baba Haider Tulmulli (RA), as per KNS.

In a statement issued, Farooq Abdullah said, “The revered saints Hazrat Qamar Ud Din Sahib Bukhari (RA) and Hazrat Baba Haider Tulmulli (RA) devoted their lives to spreading the message of peace, love, and unity.

Their teachings continue to guide us even today in times of uncertainty and division. On this blessed occasion, I pray for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh. May we all strive to live by the values of compassion and humility that these great saints embodied.”

Dr. Farooq also emphasized the importance of preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Kashmir, saying such occasions remind us of the deep-rooted legacy of Sufism and its role in shaping the region’s inclusive identity.
