Dr Farooq expresses grief over demise of Dr Ashiq Hussain Naqshbandi

Srinagar, Sep 14: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, has expressed sorrow over the demise of eminent surgeon and academician, Prof. Dr. Ashiq Hussain Naqshbandi, former Principal, Dean, and Head of the Department of Surgery at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar.

It’s relevant to mention that  the deceased was the maternal uncle of Secretary Health & Medical Education Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah.

In a condolence message, Dr Farooq described Dr. Naqshbandi as a beacon of dedication and service in the field of medicine. “His unwavering commitment to his profession and his selfless service to the people will remain a lighthouse for generations of doctors to come,” Dr. Abdullah stated.
