Dr Farooq, CM Omar pay tributes to Mirwaiz Yasin Hamadani on his death anniversary

Srinagar, Dec 17: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, and the Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, have paid tributes to the revered Islamic scholar and religious leader Mirwaiz Molana Yasin Hamadani (RA).

The duo said that Mirwaiz Molana Yasin Hamadani (RA) was a man of profound religious scholarship, deep intellectual insight, and exemplary moral stature. His command over Islamic teachings, coupled with his humility, wisdom, and tolerance, earned him immense respect across communities. He devoted his life to the service of faith, learning, and humanity, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations, as per a party press release.

They recalled that Molana Yasin Hamadani (RA) played a pivotal socio-religious role at a crucial juncture in the history of J&K. Beyond the pulpit, he remained deeply concerned about the social, moral, and political well-being of the people. His voice consistently reflected moderation, balance, and a sincere desire for peace, harmony, and justice in society.

The duo also highlighted his historic association with Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, noting that this relationship was rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to the welfare, dignity and empowerment of the people of J&K. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will always remember Mirwaiz Molana Yasin Hamadani (RA) for his wisdom, piety and selfless service to society. Meanwhile, Jamait Hamdani will observe the 34th death anniversary of Mirwaiz Molvi Muhamaad Yasin Hamdani on Friday. Fateh Khawani will be held at his graveyard at Pampore.
