Dr Farooq, CM Omar offer tributes to Khwaja Ghulam Qadir Bhat on death anniversary
Srinagar, Oct 20: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah & Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday paid tributes to Khawaja Ghulam Qadir Bhat Sahib, popularly known as Sher-e-Ganderbali, on his 26th death anniversary.
Remembering him as a dedicated leader, a fearless voice of the people, and a close associate of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that Khawaja Ghulam Qadir Bhat Sahib was known for his honesty, courage, and unwavering commitment to public service. He played a pivotal role in strengthening the National Conference at the grassroots level and remained deeply devoted to the welfare of the people of Jammu & Kashmir throughout his life. “His contribution to the political and social fabric of Ganderbal and Jammu & Kashmir will always be remembered. Though he is no longer with us, his values and principles continue to guide us. I offer my heartfelt tributes to this great son of the soil. May Allah elevate his stations in Jannat,” said Dr Farooq.
CM Omar also expressed deep respect for the late leader, remembering his immense contribution to the party and the region. He said Bhat Sahib’s legacy of service, courage, and loyalty will continue to inspire generations of party workers and leaders.
