Srinagar, Jan 9: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday expressed grief over the demise of mother of Molana Reyaz Hamadani, wife of the late Mirwaiz Yasin Hamadani.

As per a party statement, Dr Farooq said that the deceased belonged to a family that has rendered immense services to society and stood as a symbol of spiritual guidance and moral strength. He added that her memory would continue to inspire generations to uphold the values of compassion, harmony, and service to humanity.

The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and admirers and prayed for strength and patience for them to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and a place in the highest ranks of Jannat. Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was held at Khanqah-e-Moulla under the chairmanship of President Jamait Hamdanit Haji Farooq Ahmad Gani. On the occasion, the demise was condoled. The deceased was the wife of late Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Yaseen Hamadani and daughter of Mirwaiz Ghulam Nabi Hamadani of Kawdara. According to the chief spokesperson of Jamait Hamdani, GM Saqi, hundreds of people from different walks of life participated in Nimaz-e-Jinaza led by her son, Molana Reyez Hamadani. The congregational fateh Khawani will be held at Pampore graveyard on January 12, Monday at 8.30 am for locals and 10.30 am for people from other areas.
