Dr Farooq, CM Omar express condolences on demise of mother of MP elect Shammi Oberoi

Srinagar, Nov 5: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President & Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of mother of Party Treasurer and MP elect Shammi Oberoi.

Remembering the departed soul, Dr Farooq described her as “a pillar of resilience and grace whose gentle spirit, unwavering faith and selfless dedication to her family will forever inspire us.” Chief Minister Omar Abdullah echoed these sentiments, extending heartfelt sympathies to Shammi Oberoi, Harry Oberoi and the family during this difficult time, said a party statement.

Various party leaders along with office bearers, zonal functionaries from north, central, and south zones, and the Women’s, Youth, Minority, Media, and Social Media wings, District functionaries have also extended their condolences with the bereaved family. Later, CM Omar attended the last rites of the deceased.
