Dr Farooq, CM Omar condole demise of renowned Sufi poet Majrooh Abdul Rasheed Wadoo

Srinagar, Jan 13: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned Sufi poet Majrooh Abdul Rasheed Wadoo of Chattabal.

They recalled his unwavering association with the National Conference and his steadfast commitment to the ideals of Sher-e-Kashmir. Remembering him as a devoted, principled, and courageous individual, they noted his significant role in strengthening the organization at various levels, including his contribution as one of the founders of the Youth Federation, said a party statement.

Acknowledging his lifelong dedication and service to the NC movement, they said his contributions will be remembered with respect and gratitude. Party GS Ali Muhammad Sagar, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, and MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous have also condoled the demise.
