Dr Farooq, CM Omar condole demise of NC leader Ali Muhammad Kanna
Srinagar, Jan 2: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President & CM Omar Abddullah have expressed grief and sorrow over the passing of Ali Muhammad Kanna, a senior leader and party's former Block President of Block Sopore.
In a statement, Dr Farooq said, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ali Muhammad Kanna sahib. His dedication to the people of Sopore and his service to the party were beyond comparison. He was a true servant of the people, always putting their welfare first. His loss is a blow to all of us in the party and to the entire community. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. May Allah grant his soul eternal peace and strength to his loved ones in this difficult time."
CM Omar Abdullah also expressed his grief, stating, "I had the privilege of knowing Ali Mohammad Kanna sahib as a dedicated and selfless political worker. His commitment to his community was unparalleled, and his passing leaves a void that will be difficult to fill. I extend my deepest condolences to his family. May Allah give them the strength to cope with this irreparable loss, and may the soul of Kanna sahib rest in peace." The duo prayed to Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to Kanna’s soul and provide his family the strength and patience to endure this profound loss.
Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar in his condolence message said, " Kanna was a dedicated political worker, known for his selfless service to the people of Sopore and his unwavering commitment to the principles of the National Conference. Party's Additional General Secretary and MP Chawdry Ramzan, Treasurer and MP Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Showkat Mir, MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar have also expressed grief on Kanna's passing. The leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and much needed strength to bereaved.
