Dr Farooq Abdullah, Soz greet people

Srinagar, Nov 14: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s Jayanti also known as Guru Purab.

Greeting people especially the Sikh brethren on the auspicious eve, Party President said, Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj stood against the scourge of caste division and religious discrimination. He voiced for the oppressed and underprivileged, a press release said.

“I greet people especially our Sikh Brethren on the observance of the birthday of the revered Guru Ji. May the day increase the prospects of peace and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir and further the cause of camaraderie,” he said.

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz has also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion.
