Dr Farooq Abdullah meets delegations at Nawa-e-Subha
Srinagar, Nov 11: Several individual and public delegations called on National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, here.
According to a press release, the delegations apprised Dr Farooq Abdullah of various challenges and grievances faced by them. He gave them a patient hearing and assured the delegations that their concerns would be promptly raised with the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, and the concerned Ministers.
Meanwhile, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have extended warm greetings to the people on the Urs observance of Hazrat Syed Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Wali (RA).
Dr Farooq Abdullah in his greetings expressed admiration for Shah Asrar Sahib (RA) as a great soul. He emphasised the importance of Sufism in shaping the socio-cultural milieu of the region, promoting the inward search for God and rejecting materialism. NC President called for embracing the teachings of such great men to bring peace and prosperity to the region.
He extended his greetings to the people of the state and Kishtwar on the Urs observance of Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Wali (RA), hoping that the day would bring increased prospects of peace and prosperity to the region.
Omar Abdullah also felicitated people on the occasion, expressing hope that the Urs will be observed with traditional gaiety and brotherhood. He also prayed that the day increases the prospects of peace and prosperity in the region.
