Dr Farooq Abdullah cautions people against division of votes
Srinagar, Sep 22: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah today cautioned people regarding the grave repercussions of dividing votes in the upcoming second phase of elections.
He was addressing a an election rally at Eidgah here. The event was organised by the party's contesting candidate for Eidgah, Mubarak Gul.
The NC President emphasised the critical importance of unity and strategic voting to ensure the success of the party's agenda. “The fate of Kashmir hangs in the balance, and it is imperative that every vote counts towards a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir. The current Assembly elections are a battleground of ideologies, with the divisive BJP and its supporters on one side, and the National Conference Congress Alliance on the other, fighting to prevent the BJP's influence from spreading further.
It is imperative that the people not only defeat the BJP but also reject any candidate who aims to divide votes, as the repercussions of such actions are still being felt from the 2014 elections,” he said.
