Dr Arun Manhas honored with MSEFC Excellence Award for championing MSME recovery efforts
Srinagar, Feb 12: Dr Arun Manhas, Director of Industries and Commerce Jammu, has been awarded the prestigious MSEFC Excellence Award for his remarkable contributions to the resolution of delayed payments for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Serving as the Chairman of the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) in Jammu, Dr. Manhas has played a pivotal role in championing MSME growth and ensuring economic justice to these businesses.
The award was personally presented by Union Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, during a grand ceremony organised by the Chamber of Indian MSME in New Delhi. The recognition is a testament to Dr. Manhas’s tireless work in driving speedy recovery for delayed payments, a longstanding issue faced by MSMEs across the country.
A high-level selection committee, led by Retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Deepak Verma, identified Dr Manhas’s contribution as exemplary among peers from various states and Union Territories. The committee acknowledged his innovative solutions and unyielding dedication to safeguarding the financial stability of MSMEs in the region.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Union Minister highlighted the critical role MSEFCs play in empowering small businesses and appreciated Dr Manhas’s steadfast commitment.
