Srinagar, Oct 9: Delhi Public School Srinagar has added another feather to its cap as its students delivered outstanding performances at the UT Level Pencak Silat Championship 2024. The event, held from September 21 to 23 at the Indoor Hall Polo Ground, Srinagar, saw DPS students making remarkable contributions to the Jammu & Kashmir team's overall victory.

Competing against a formidable field of 1,000 participants from various districts across the region, DPS Srinagar's martial artists demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. Allishba Jeelani emerged as the standout performer, securing a prestigious gold medal. Mehreen Aashiq claimed silver, while Nehal Zubair and Aisha Yatoo each earned bronze medals in their respective categories.

The three-day championship, organized by the Pencak Silat Association of J&K and supported by the J&K Sports Council, showcased the growing popularity of this Indonesian martial art form in the region.
