DPS martial arts team excels with 14 medals at Thang Ta Championship

Srinagar, Nov 14: A 17-member martial arts contingent from Delhi Public School (DPS) delivered a dominant performance at the J&K UT Thang Ta Championship 2025, clinching 14 medals—including seven golds—at the three-day event held at the Polo Ground Indoor Stadium here.

As per a statement issued on Friday, competing in a large field of approximately 550 athletes from various districts of J&K, the DPS team’s performance was simply outstanding. Out of our 17 student participants, an incredible 14 secured medals, demonstrating the depth of talent and quality of training at our school.

The final impressive results were 7 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

Those who won gold were Onizah Qadri (12th H1), Aaminah Irfan (12th S1), Munaza Aira (9th G), Farjumand Riyaz (6th A), Zynah Sartaj Mantoo (7th H), Arsh Bhat (7th B) and Tabin Peerzada (4th B).
