Doon School Srinagar celebrates annual sports day

Srinagar, Oct 30: The Doon School Srinagar celebrated its annual sports day with enthusiasm and vibrant participation, as students showcased their athletic skills and team spirit before an audience of dignitaries, parents, and teachers.

The event, as per a statement, was graced by several dignitaries, including Chairman of Doon School Showkat Khan, KAS officer Mehraj Wani, KAS officer Azeeta Qureshi, DSP Urfaan Ahmed, and Dr Mehnaz, Principal of BOM School and Syed Tajamul Islam

A large number of parents and guests were present on the occasion to cheer for the young athletes. Various sporting events were organised, highlighting the importance of physical education and teamwork in studentss overall development.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries lauded the efforts of the management and staff for promoting a culture of sports and providing students with opportunities to excel in both academics and extracurricular activities.

Chairman Showkat Khan congratulated the participants and emphasised the role of sports in building discipline, confidence, and leadership qualities among children.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks, followed by a colourful cultural performance that added joy and vibrancy to the celebration.
