DMA raises infrastructure, administrative concerns at GMC Udhampur

Udhampur, Feb 24: The Democratic Medical Association (DMA) has expressed serious concern regarding the infrastructural and administrative issues at GMC Udhampur.

The Association, in a press release said, despite repeated representations, students continue to face poor set-up, impeding their learning process and stay at the medical college.  They listed poor mess quality among various issues. "Despite similar fees as other GMCs, lack of proper storage, inadequate dining space, and no protein options," are some of the problems.

They also cited transport shortage, alleging that only one bus is available and reliance on unreliable rented vehicles.

The Association sais delayed campus shifting, with no clear timeline even in 3rd year, leading to absence of proper gym, sports, library, and academic facilities aas a critical issue that needed to be addressed on priority.

The DMA also listed unsafe drinking water that gets worse in summer and only one functional cooler for multiple students as examples of neglect.
