DM Poonch issues fresh travel advisory for Mughal Road

Poonch, Aug 28: The District Magistrate of Poonch on Thursday restricted movement on the Mughal Road, imposing strict cut-off timings for both directions to manage heavy traffic caused by NH44’s closure.

As per the advisory, Kashmir-bound traffic from Chandimarh will be allowed only up to 4:30 PM, and no vehicle movement shall be permitted beyond this time, except in cases of medical emergencies or vehicles on government duty duly authorised by the competent authority.

Similarly, Jammu-bound traffic from Peer Ki Gali towards Poonch will be allowed only up to 4:00 PM from Pir Ki Gali.

The District Magistrate of Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, in his order has further mentioned that the movement of vehicles after the stipulated time has been strictly prohibited, with exceptions granted only for emergencies and official government duty.
