DM Baramulla directs strict anti-drug measures

Baramulla, Oct 22: District Magistrate (DM) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired the 21st meeting of the Narco Coordination Committee (NCORD) at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Baramulla to review the district’s ongoing efforts to curb drug abuse and strengthen enforcement under the NDPS Act.

During the meeting, the DM directed all law enforcement agencies to ensure strict implementation of NDPS laws and to intensify awareness programmes on the harmful effects of drug abuse, particularly among youth and students.

He also emphasized taking strict action against persons found smoking in public places, especially around educational institutions.
