DLSA Srinagar organises comprehensive legal awareness programme

Srinagar, Sep 11: To promote legal literacy and awareness among the youth, and empower them with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities in society, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar organised a comprehensive legal awareness programme at Govt. Boys Hr. Secondary School (GBHSS) Zainakote, today.

The initiative aimed to sensitise students on pressing social and legal issues, focusing particularly on the legal provisions for persons with intellectual disabilities, Solid Waste Management, and the NALSA Helpline 15100.

This outreach was held under the chairmanship of Tasleem Arief, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, and conducted under the guidance of Sajad Ur Rehman, Sub-Judge / Secretary, DLSA Srinagar.

During the awareness session, Adv. Gazala Mumtaz Khan, Panel Lawyer, DLSA Srinagar, delivered a detailed presentation on the legal provisions applicable to persons with intellectual disabilities, highlighting the importance of protecting their rights and ensuring their integration in society with dignity and respect.
