DLSA Srinagar organises awareness programme on anti-ragging laws, drug abuse
Srinagar, Aug 07: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar today organised an awareness programme at S.P Higher Secondary School, Srinagar, about the critical issues of anti-ragging laws and drug abuse.
The awareness programme held under the guidance of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of the DLSA Srinagar (PDJ, Srinagar), and under the supervision of Jahangir Ahmed Bakshi, Secretary, DLSA Srinagar. The primary objective of this awareness initiative was to educate participants on the importance of anti-ragging laws and to address the rising concern of drug abuse among the participants. The awareness programme attracted a diverse audience, including students, and staff members, all eager to participate in this vital discussion.
Tasneem Kausar, Deputy LADC, DLSA Srinagar, emphasised the significance of anti-ragging laws. She highlighted the legal framework in place to safeguard students and foster a safe academic environment, stressing the collective responsibility of institutions and individuals in preventing ragging.
