DLSA Anantnag observes National Legal Services Day

Anantnag, Nov 12: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Anantnag, on Wednesday observed National Legal Services Day/Week with great enthusiasm at the District Court Complex, Anantnag.

The event was presided over by Principal District & Sessions Judge, Tahir Khurshid Raina, as Chairman, DLSA Anantnag, and organised under the supervision of Fozia Paul, Secretary, DLSA Anantnag.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman of DLSA highlighted the importance of legal aid and emphasised the vital role of both the Bench and the Bar in ensuring “Access to Justice for All.” He reiterated that it is the collective responsibility of the Bench and the Bar to ensure that no individual remains unrepresented in the pursuit of justice.

The event reflected DLSA Anantnag’s continued commitment to promoting legal awareness, ensuring legal aid for the marginalised, and strengthening the justice delivery system at the grassroots level.

On this occasion, senior advocates, trained mediators, and panel lawyers were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the cause of legal services and access to justice.

The programme witnessed the presence of senior members of the District Bar Association, Anantnag, trained mediators, defence legal aid counsels, panel lawyers, and para-legal volunteers, among others.
