DLIC Kulgam approves 142 cases under Mission YUVA
Kulgam, Sep 30: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Kulgam, held a meeting today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan here at Mini Secretariat Kulgam and approved 142 fresh cases under Mission YUVA.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on each application submitted under Mission YUVA’s key schemes. The committee approved 142 new cases after thorough scrutiny, marking another milestone in the ongoing efforts to facilitate gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for the local youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam reiterated the administration’s commitment to empower youth through sustainable and inclusive initiatives. He directed all stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, timely disbursement of benefits and proper mentoring and monitoring of beneficiaries to help them establish sustainable livelihood ventures.
He further emphasised the importance of inter-departmental coordination, proactive outreach, and awareness generation to bring more eligible youth under the ambit of Mission YUVA.
The approved cases will now proceed to the implementation stage, where eligible beneficiaries will be provided with the necessary financial assistance to kick-start their ventures.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, General Manager District Industries Centre, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Director Employment, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Lead District Manager, and Career Counselling Officer.
