DLIC Ganderbal approves 12 cases under Mission YUVA scheme

Ganderbal, Jun 17: In a significant push towards promoting youth entrepreneurship and self-employment, District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Ganderbal, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today approved 12 cases under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme.

The meeting, held in the VC Room of the DC Office, was convened to scrutinise and approve applications received under the Mission YUVA scheme, which aims to provide financial assistance and support to aspiring young entrepreneurs of the district.

At the outset, concerned officials presented a detailed overview of the applications received from the Single-Window Business Development Units (SBDUs). After a comprehensive discussion and deliberation, the Committee approved 12 eligible cases for further financial and entrepreneurial support.

Addressing the meeting, DC underscored the importance of Mission YUVA in empowering the local youth through entrepreneurship and skill development.

He directed the District Employment and Employment Centre to ensure wider outreach and maximum participation of local youth in the scheme so that more individuals can benefit from the opportunities being provided under self-employment generation initiatives.

The approval of these cases marks a step forward in the district’s continued efforts to cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and reduce unemployment among the youth.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat; Chief Planning Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Nodal Officer JKEDI; and other members of the Committee.
