Divisional admin Kashmir dismisses claims of non-locals being asked to leave region
Srinagar, Oct 22: The divisional administration in Kashmir Tuesday dismissed internet posts claiming that non-locals in Kashmir are being pressurised to leave the valley following Sunday's deadly attack in Ganderbal.
"The Divisional Administration Kashmir has clarified on such news, terming it baseless, holding no merits," an official handout from the government said.
The handout said, the administration has taken all the required measures to ensure safety and security of non-local workers in the Valley.
"The rumors spread on social media platforms regarding the Administration pressurizing non-local workers to leave the Valley are false," the handout read.
Meanwhile, the Administration has asked everyone to desist from amplifying the unfounded rumours and sought cooperation of locals to defeat the agenda of vested interested individuals to derail the peace in Valley, the handout said.
Earlier, police also termed the reports as false.
