Div Com Jammu congratulates para athletes Sheetal Devi, Rakesh Kumar them winning medals

Jammu, Nov 2: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar received and welcomed 16-year-old para-athletes Sheetal Devi and para-athlete Rakesh Kumar at Jammu on Thursday.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the para-athletes had returned after winning medals at the recently concluded Para Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.
Sheetal Devi, who was born without arms, has defied all odds to become the World's First Armless Female Champion Archer.
The divisional commissioner saluted the grit, determination, and invincible spirit of Sheetal Devi that made her the world’s first para archer without arms.
He also lauded the hard work and achievements of Rakesh Kumar.
J&K and while the nation is proud of the achievements of the para Athletes, he said.
The divisional commissioner said that J&K under the guidance of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is making all efforts to promote sports and promote the sportspersons.
He also appreciated the role of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for nurturing and providing facilities to the athletes.
