District Srinagar Tennikoit championship concludes at GVEI

Srinagar Aug 24: The District Srinagar Tennikoit Association, under the stewardship of the Jammu & Kashmir Tennikoit Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, organised the District Tennikoit Championship for under-14 players at the grounds of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) Srinagar.

Around 16 teams from various clubs and schools participated in the championship.

Chairman GVEI Muhammad Yousuf Wani was the chief guest at the occasion.

In the Tennikot Championship, Green Valley shone bright, securing the top spot in both the boys' and girls' categories, thereby claiming the title of District Tennikot Champions.

In boys category, GVEI emerged as winner against Legends School

In girls category, GVEI clinched the title while the runner up team was Green Club and the International School of London secured the 3rd place.

The championship witnessed intense competition among the participating teams.

Addressing the participants, Mohammad Yousuf Wani expressed his delight over the successful conclusion of the championship. He congratulated the winners and praised all the teams for their spirited participation.

"Sports is important in building character and discipline besides encouraging the young athletes to continue striving for excellence in both academics and sports," Wani said.
