District Judiciary Baramulla mourns demise of special judge Raja Tasleem
Baramulla, March 18: The District Judiciary Baramulla held a solemn condolence meeting at the District Court Complex, Baramulla, to mourn the sudden and untimely demise of Raja Tasleem, Special Judge, UAPA Court, Baramulla. Tasleem passed away in Delhi following a brief but serious illness.
The meeting was attended by all Judicial Officers posted at the headquarters, the Bar President and members of the Bar Association Baramulla, Prosecuting Officers and their staff, Judicial Employees, Ministerial Staff of the Courts, and a large number of litigants, all expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
Addressing the gathering, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Baramulla, Jawad Ahmad, paid tribute to Tasleem’s professional integrity, humility, and dedication to justice. He emphasized that Tasleem’s sense of responsibility and commitment to fairness had left an enduring impact on all who worked with him.
On behalf of the Judicial Officers of Jammu & Kashmir, Jawad Ahmad extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He also conveyed the sympathies and prayers of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and Administrative Judge for District Baramulla, acknowledging Tasleem’s invaluable contributions to the judiciary.
The President of the Bar Association Baramulla, along with fellow members, Prosecuting Officers, Judicial Employees, and Ministerial Staff, remembered Tasleem as a noble soul and an upright judge whose contributions to the justice system will be cherished with reverence.
During the condolence meet, Senior Advocate Ab. Salam Rather led the Fateha Khawani for the departed soul, and a two-minute silence was observed in his honor. The entire judicial fraternity, particularly the District Judiciary Baramulla, stands in solidarity with the bereaved family, offering prayers, support, and heartfelt sympathies during this time of grief.
