District Hospital Shopian leads in NHM hospital rankings
Shopian, March 2: District Hospital ( DH) Shopian has clinched the first rank among the top performing district hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir while MCCH Anantnag and District Hospital, JLNM are among the bottom five performing District Hospitals as per the rankings released by the National Health Mission (NHM) J&K.
The NHM J&K on Saturday released the rankings of Public Health facilities on Hospital Management Information System (JKeSahaj) for the month of January 2025.
For the third straight month, District Hospital Shopian has retained its position as the top performing facility.
ASYM District Hospital Budgam secured second rank followed by District Hospital Ganderbal.
" DH Shopian has introduced new lab tab tests and now more patients choose to visit the facility over private hospitals", said an official at the hospital.
He said that the patient footfall had significantly increased over the last few months. According to the official, there has been a decline in the patient referrals as well.
The top five bottom performing district hospitals include MCCH Anantnag, District Hospital JLNM, Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch, District Hospital Kulgam and District Hospital Ramban.
In the category of top performing Associated Hospitals, GMC Kathua secured the first rank followed by GMC and AH Rajouri.
CHC Mendhar topped the list of top performing Community Health Centres ( CHCs) in Jammu and Kashmir while BHQ, while CHC Langate was among the five bottom performing CHCs.
