Discusses enhanced security measures with Special DGP

Srinagar, Aug 17: Aimed at strengthening the security apparatus in J&K, the Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen M V Suchindra Kumar, met Special Director General of Police and DGP designate, Nalin Prabhat, on Saturday.

The meeting discussed enhancing coordination and synergy between the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, key forces responsible for maintaining peace and security in J&K.

During the meeting, Lt Gen Kumar conveyed his best wishes to Nalin Prabhat on his new appointment as the DGP of J&K, acknowledging the critical role of the Police force.

The two security establishment leaders engaged in a detailed discussion focused on further strengthening the collaboration between the Army and the J&K Police.

This collaboration has been pivotal in addressing the security challenges posed by terrorism and insurgency in J&K.

The discussions centered around enhancing joint operations, sharing intelligence, and implementing coordinated strategies to counter emerging security threats.

Both the senior officers emphasised the importance of maintaining a high level of synergy between the two forces to ensure the safety and security of the people of J&K.
