Director Sericulture inaugurates Silk Mark Expo 2024

Jammu, Mar 2: Director Sericulture J&K, Aijaz Bhat today inaugurated the Silk Mark Expo organised by the Silk Mark Organization of India under the aegis of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India at Kala Kendra, Bikram Chowk.

Speaking on the occasion the Director Sericulture said that the event aims to celebrate the timeless elegance of pure silk and protect a consumer from the menace of duplicity and counterfeit products.

Moreover, the Director of Sericulture J&K while sharing his insights said that by visiting Silk Mark Expo 2024 consumers across India shall enjoy the luxurious allure of pure silk who are fond of original and finest quality silk products and rightfully expect authenticity in their purchases. "However, the prevalence of fraudulent traders peddling impure silks—crafted from inferior materials such as Viscose Rayon, Polyester, and Nylon—threatens the integrity of this cherished textile. In this backdrop, the Silk Mark Organisation of India to enthuse confidence among the buyers vis-à-vis the genuine finest quality original Silk products the Silk Mark organisation of India holds such Expos. "
