Director reviews progress of Animal Husbandry schemes in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 13: Parvinder Sudan, Director of Animal Husbandry Department Kashmir, conducted a comprehensive review of physical and financial progress achieved under various schemes during the current financial year. The schemes include Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Holistic Agricultural Development Programme, Central Sector Schemes, and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) initiatives.
The review meeting, held in the final quarter of the financial year, focused on identifying and addressing bottlenecks in scheme implementation. Officers and officials presented their viewpoints during the deliberations to enhance program effectiveness.
Dr Sudan emphasised the importance of analyzing progress reports from various departmental wings and developing strategies to boost productivity and efficiency in Kashmir's animal husbandry sector. The meeting highlighted the department's commitment to improving livestock management and ensuring sustainable development in the region.
Key officials attending the meeting included the Joint Director of Poultry/LPP Hari Parbat, Deputy Director Poultry, Chief Animal Husbandry Officers, Superintendent of Central Veterinary Hospital, Assistant Director Planning, Technical Officers, and Poultry Development Officers.
