Director Health Services Kashmir reviews healthcare preparations for Amarnath Yatra

Srinagar, June 5: Director of Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, along with the yatra unit of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) visited the Baltal base campsite to review preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra on Wednesday.

A statement of the Department of Health issued here said that a key focus of the visit was the inspection of a 100-bed hospital, which is set to be operational during the yatra.

Dr Rather conducted a thorough meeting with all stakeholders involved in the hospital's construction and emphasised the importance of its timely completion.

During his visit, he also inspected the First Aid Centre, which has been established for the advance team.

Dr Rather expressed his satisfaction with its readiness and the efforts of the healthcare workers.

He also visited the Nilgarth, Domail, and Rail Pathri sites.

Dr Rather directed all accompanying health officers and officials to implement a robust and foolproof mechanism to ensure a superior healthcare delivery system was in place.
