Srinagar, Nov 22: In a bid to assess the physical and financial progress of key agricultural initiatives across the Kashmir Division, Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah convened a high-level review meeting at the Agriculture Complex Lalmandi.

The session focused on the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS),A and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)-funded projects. All Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) and District Development Officers (DDOs) from the division were present, ensuring a thorough district-wise evaluation.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation highlighted scheme-wise and component-wise expenditures, physical achievements, and progress against set targets under HADP projects, CSS, CAPEX, and NABARD. The Director emphasised the critical importance of expeditious and judicious utilization of allocated funds to deliver maximum benefits to the farming community. He urged officers to maintain utmost transparency and accountability in all financial transactions while accelerating project implementation to prevent any lapses.

"Strengthening agricultural infrastructure, integrating technological interventions, and ensuring seamless scheme delivery are pivotal to enhancing productivity and uplifting the socio-economic status of our farmers," said the Director.
