Dir Agriculture conducts extensive visit of Bandipora
Srinagar, Apr 17: The Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today conducted an extensive visit of Bandipora district. He visited hi-tech polygreen houses, bore wells, and other components established under HADP at Dangerpora, Wangipora, Markundal, Sumbal and other areas of the district. He took stock of the agriculture scenario in these areas.
Speaking to the farmers, the Director Agriculture said that the hi-tech, low cost poly green houses established under HADP are transforming the lives of vegetable farmers across the Kashmir division.
He reiterated the department’s commitment to the socio-economic development of the farming community. He underscored the importance of projects under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and asked the farmers to come forward and avail the benefits from these projects. He directed the concerned officers to ensure maximum awareness among the farming community of Kashmir division regarding the projects under HADP.
Later on, Director Agriculture convened a review meeting of district Bandipora.
Chief agriculture officer Bandipora, sub divisional and zonal officers of the department were present in the meeting.
