Dilapidated roads at Siddique Colony irk inhabitants

Srinagar, Jun 22: Residents of Siddique Colony Dagakadal area of Lal Bazar have complained of dilapidated roads in the locality.

A delegation from the area said that in the absence of repairs, the roads have developed potholes and caved in at several spots.

“Our locality has been neglected by the authorities. In the absence of repairs, most of the roads in our locality are dilapidated. This has severely affected our normal lives. We face problems walking on an uneven surface. Many children have suffered injuries after falling due to uneven roads. Our cars have also suffered damages due to potholes,” said a delegation from the area.

“We make a fervent appeal to MLA Hazratbal to look into the matter and direct the authorities to macadamise roads in our locality on priority for the convenience of residents,” they added.
